Terms of Service
These terms cover the Tractor GPS app for iPhone and iPad and this website at tractorgpsapp.com. By using either, you agree to them.
Tractor GPS is provided by Oran Dynamics Ltd., Nutgrove, Tynagh, Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland — registered in Ireland, company no. 760622 ("we", "us").
The most important term: Tractor GPS is guidance, not an autopilot
Tractor GPS shows you where you are, where your lines run and what you have already covered. It does not steer your machine, and it does not watch the field for you. You are driving.
- Keep your eyes up. Do not operate the app while the machine is moving unless it is mounted where you can see it at a glance, the way you would a mirror.
- GPS is not perfect. Accuracy depends on satellite coverage, the receiver you are using, terrain, canopy and the weather. Treat every position as approximate, and never rely on it near a ditch, a boundary, a power line, livestock or a person.
- Coverage maps, boundaries, areas and work logs are records of what the app measured, not legal or agronomic certifications. If a number matters for a payment, a grant application or a contract, check it against an authoritative source.
We are not liable for what happens in the field. Machinery is dangerous, and the person in the seat is the one who has to be looking.
Who may use Tractor GPS
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and old enough to be operating the machinery you are operating. If you are using it on behalf of a farm or a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these terms for them.
Your account and your data
The app works without an account for basic guidance. Creating an account lets you keep fields, boundaries and work logs across devices, and share a farm with other people you invite.
Your field data is yours. Boundaries, guidance lines, coverage and work logs belong to you. We store them so the app can show them back to you and sync them between your devices and anyone you have invited to your farm. We do not sell them, and we do not hand them to anyone else except as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, and for what people you invite to a farm can see and change.
Subscriptions
- Tractor GPS is free to download. A subscription unlocks the guidance features, and is billed annually after a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is on the pricing page.
- Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the seller, takes the payment and the tax, and appears on your receipt. Apple's terms apply to the payment itself.
- Renewal is automatic until you cancel. Apple charges the account within 24 hours before each period ends.
- Cancelling is one action, in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. It stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Prices may change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and Apple will tell you before a renewal at a new price.
If a subscription lapses, your fields, boundaries and logs are not deleted. They stay in your account, and the guidance features unlock again when you resubscribe.
Acceptable use
Please do not: use the app in a way that breaks the law where you are; attempt to reach another user's account or farm data; probe, scan or overload our servers; resell or redistribute Tractor GPS as your own; or reverse-engineer it except where the law says you may.
We may suspend an account that is doing these things. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
Availability and hardware
We aim to keep Tractor GPS running and syncing, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and support for particular external receivers or iOS versions can change with them.
The app works with third-party GNSS receivers. We do not make or sell that hardware, we cannot warrant it, and its accuracy claims are the manufacturer's, not ours.
The app records to your device and to our servers, but it is not a backup service. If a work record matters to you, export or note it.
Liability
Tractor GPS is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to Tractor GPS is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you keep every right your local law gives you.
We are not liable for crop loss, machinery damage, missed or overlapped work, fuel or input costs, or any other consequential loss arising from what the app displayed. That follows from the first term on this page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Tractor GPS after that means you accept the new version; if you do not, you may cancel and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes belong to the Irish courts — except that, if you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of its mandatory consumer law.
Before it comes to that, please email us; most things are easier to fix than to argue about. Consumers in Ireland can also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, and consumers elsewhere in the EEA can contact their European Consumer Centre about a cross-border purchase.
