Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Tractor GPS app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and this website at tractorgpsapp.com.
The data controller is Oran Dynamics Ltd., Nutgrove, Tynagh, Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland — registered in Ireland, company no. 760622. Contact us at support@tractorgpsapp.com.
The short version
- Your location is the product. A guidance app cannot work without it, so the app reads your precise position continuously while you are working, including in the background.
- Your field data is yours. Boundaries, guidance lines, coverage maps and work logs are stored so the app can show them back to you and sync them across your devices and to people you invite to your farm. We do not sell them and we do not share them with anyone else.
- We do use analytics and advertising measurement. They are named below, along with what they get.
- We never see your card details. Apple takes the payment.
Location data
Tractor GPS asks for precise location, and for "Always" permission if you want recording to continue while the screen is off or another app is in front — a pass across a field can take longer than a phone stays awake.
What happens to it:
- Guidance and recording happen on your device. Position is used live to draw your line, your coverage and your position on the map.
- Recorded work is stored, on the device and — if you have an account — in our database, so that a boundary you drove last year is still there this year and appears on your other devices.
- We do not track your movements for any other purpose. Location is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with the analytics or attribution services named below.
You can withdraw location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Tractor GPS. The app will stop guiding and recording, because it cannot do those things without it.

We do not collect contacts, photos, health data, or the contents of anything outside the app.
Advertising and tracking
We advertise Tractor GPS, and we measure whether those ads work. On iOS this means the app will ask you, through Apple's own prompt, whether you allow tracking.
- If you say no — and you can — no advertising identifier (IDFA) is used. Measurement falls back to Apple's SKAdNetwork, which reports conversions to ad networks in aggregate, without identifying you.
- If you say yes, AppsFlyer and Google may associate your install and subscription with the ad you came from, using device identifiers and your IP address.
You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We do not show ads inside the app, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Transfers outside the EEA rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, depending on the provider.
How long we keep things
- Your account and field data — until you delete it, or until you ask us to. Deleting your account removes your fields, boundaries and logs from our database.
- Analytics events — typically up to 14 months, then they age out with the provider.
- Attribution data — as long as the provider's retention allows, typically 24 months.
- Support emails — up to two years, so that "the same problem as last season" makes sense.
- Purchase and tax records — as long as the law requires Apple and us to keep them.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and take it elsewhere in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent — tracking, and "Always" location — you can withdraw it at any time, in iOS Settings.
Ask us at support@tractorgpsapp.com. We will reply within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, or to the authority where you live.
Legal bases
- Contract — your account, your field data, and your subscription. Without these the app cannot do what you paid for.
- Consent — precise background location, and app tracking for advertising. Both are asked for by an iOS prompt and can be withdrawn there.
- Legitimate interests — analytics and crash reporting, so the app can be fixed and improved, balanced against your interest in not being profiled. We do not use them to make decisions about individuals.
- Legal obligation — tax and accounting records.
Children
Tractor GPS is for people operating agricultural machinery and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
This website
tractorgpsapp.com is a static site on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers. Cloudflare processes standard web-server logs, including IP addresses, to serve pages and block abuse.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
